Most people started a business because they were great at doing something, they were the technicians. But nobody ever taught them how to run it.  “They don’t know their numbers, they don’t have a plan and they don’t test and measure,” she said. Winesett advises business owners to start the New Year off by focusing on correcting these three mistakes, to make 2011 a more profitable year.

Sheri Winesett, a 1994 graduate of Old Dominion University with a BS in Political Science, began her career as an international lobbyist devising and implementing strategic plans for Fortune 100 companies in 1995.  She became an ActionCOACH business owner and certified business and executive coach in 2005.  In 2007, she became the master licensee for ActionCOACH Virginia.
